So it was on this day just under 2000 years ago (1985) that these prophecies from 2700 years ago came true. There was one man, the God-Man Jesus, came and suffered for all of us, for all of our sin and yet not just for all of our sin. He suffered and in his suffering defeated Satan, his servants, Death, and Hell, which no longer holds power over any of God’s People.

And just last night, and perhaps into today, that that Suffering Servant shared a meal with his Disciples, his closest friends, and gave an ancient meal a brand new meaning for a brand new people.
